Are Your Student Loans Dischargeable?Did you know that under the recent changes to the law, most student loans are now dischargeable under a bankruptcy? So now, not only can you get debt free from all of your loans and bills, but you can also get debt free from your student loans, too! Until recently, the bankruptcy rules were written to unfairly prevent most people from including student loans in their bankruptcy. But, the Justice Department held an investigation and determined that a new, fairer criteria was needed for student loan borrowers. Current statistics show that 99% of student loan borrowers who requested a discharge via an Adversary Proceeding in their bankruptcy case for student loans, received a full or partial discharge of their student loan debt. |
