Samantha Rhoades Valenzuela
Bankruptcy Attorney
Samantha Valenzuela (formerly known as Samantha R. Sellers) chose to move back to the Wiregrass area to open a law practice following over 10 years of practicing Social Security Disability/SSI and Bankruptcy Law in large law offices. While visiting home, she realized that there was a need for experienced lawyers to provide individualized representation to the people of the Wiregrass. So, in 2015, she opened
The Valenzuela Law Firm, LLC in order to provide quality, experienced, individualized representation.
Samantha is originally from the Wiregrass area, having been born in Dothan, raised in Ozark, graduating high school from George W. Long in 1997 and graduating college from Troy University, Dothan in 2001. In 2002 she began law school at Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery and received her Juris Doctorate in 2005, passing the Alabama State Bar the same year.
In 2005, Samantha began working for the Sellers Law Firm and then in 2014 she began work at the Dansby Law Firm. The experience she gained from representing thousands of clients on such a large scale prepared her for opening her own practice. Through work at these firms, she discovered how clients should be treated, what clients need and expect from their attorneys, and also what kind of service she wanted to provide for her clients.
For nearly 10 years, Samantha appeared quarterly on the Montgomery CBS station WAKA's news segment "Law Line", where she provided free legal advise to callers. And she also appeared multiple times on "The Beasley Allen Report" on Montgomery's NBC station, WSFA, as their Social Security expert.
Samantha is a member of various legal organizations including the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA). She is also a member of the Alabama State Bar and is licensed to practice in all state courts of Alabama, the Middle and Southern Districts of Federal District Court, the Federal Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a certified Arbitrator and Mediator and received her certification in Alternative Dispute Resolutions and is a certified Guardian ad Litem. As a member of the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers, she provides free and/or reduced cost legal representation to members of the community.
Samantha is happily married to Enrique Valenzuela and she has three children: Julia Grace Sellers, Carl Brandon "Carlin" Sellers, IV, and Victor Manuel Valenzuela.
